Three of Nissan’s Best Named Top Values

April 16th, 2024 by

Just as we do here at Raceway Nissan of Freehold, Cars.com understands the value of Nissan.

Three Nissan models – the Kicks, Frontier, and Sentra – secured a place on the publication’s 2024 Best Value New Car list, an annual Affordability Report that determines which vehicles deliver the best value for their price. With the average new-car list price at its lowest point in over a year, the list exemplifies why it’s the perfect time to get into a new Nissan.

The Award Goes To…

The following three models were recognized by Cars.com’s 2024 list: the 2024 Nissan Kicks S was named Best Value: Subcompact SUV; the 2024 Frontier King Cab S 4×2 was named Best Value: Midsize Pickup; and the 2024 Sentra S finished in third place in the Compact Car segment. The 2024 Nissan Versa SV was also named as an honorable mention.

The Kicks, Sentra, and Versa were all honored for the second time in as many years, after placing on Cars.com’s 2023 Best Value New Cars Report. The Frontier, however, made its debut on the list in a big way, besting household names like the Toyota Tacoma and Chevy Colorado.

Each finalist is evaluated on their median list price and annual fuel costs to determine which “offer the best bang for consumers’ buck,” according to the official website. Additionally, Cars.com surveys are used to identify which finalists are offering popular options that drivers desire.

The Goods to Back It Up

Speaking of giving drivers what they want: the 2024 Nissan Kicks (starting MSRP: $21,340) delivered best-in-class fuel economy and came loaded with features and equipment, such as standard Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. And as our recent preview of the 2025 Kicks highlighted, this subcompact SUV is getting larger and even more generous with this year’s edition.

The 2024 Nissan Frontier (starting MSRP: $30,510) outpaced the competitive midsize pickup market thanks to its distinct design, impressive specs, and thoughtful convenience features. The 2024 Frontier packs a standard 310-horsepower, 3.8-liter direct-injection V6 engine and a towing capacity of up to 6,640 pounds. That makes for quite the value deal, when you consider the Frontier generally sells for ten grand less than the midsize pickup segment’s $43,412 median price.

The 2024 Nissan Sentra (starting MSRP: $21,180) continued to prove that when it comes to affordability, you can’t beat a well-made, small car. The difference in average fuel economy between compact cars and small SUVs is slimmer than ever thanks to advances in engine development. Therefore, why not save thousands on a more diminutive vehicle that gives you the added bonus of fun, sporty performance?
