The 2025 Murano is a Smooth Operator
Your favorite mid-size crossover is getting a long-overdue makeover. For the first time in a decade, the Nissan Murano has been fully refreshed for the 2025 model year. The Murano’s smooth redesign is immediately apparent, but one look under the hood tells us that this isn’t just a cosmetic upgrade.
Today, Raceway Nissan of Freehold – your home of the Zero-Dollar Down Lease – previews the 2025 Nissan Murano.
Just Like the Ocean, Under the Moon
Set to go on sale early next year, the 2025 Nissan Murano sees the first major upgrade for the two-row SUV since its 2015 model year. Continuing the style-first approach of previous generations, the Murano’s new shape is smooth and rounded, giving it a new level of sleekness. Its popular “deep ocean blue” color, in particular, helps the new Murano really pop.
Fresh details abound, from ultra-thin “Crystal Cube” LED headlights integrated into the grille lines to an LED taillight bar that runs the width of the rear end. Nissan has even hidden the exhaust tips and rear wiper to better emphasize the smooth exterior.
But the new Murano unveils its biggest changes beneath the hood. Gone is the divisive continuously variable transmission and V-6 combo, replaced by a turbo 2.0-liter inline-four and nine-speed automatic transmission. With this configuration, the Murano produces 241 horsepower and 261 pound-feet of torque, with a projected zero-to-60 time in the 7-8 second range.
The Superior Motion That I Get from You
In terms of fuel economy, the Murano still opts to forego a hybrid variant, so expect the new Murano’s EPA combined rating to look similar to past models. But while fuel efficiency doesn’t necessarily improve, the smoothness of your ride certainly will, thanks to the Murano’s upgraded shock absorbers.
Also new is support for both ProPilot Assist and ProPilot Assist 1.1. These systems – part of Nissan’s Safety Shield 360 suite of active and passive driver aids – bundle adaptive cruise control with lane centering. ProPilot Assist 1.1 includes the added feature of reading routes via the navigation system and automatically slowing down for detected curves.
The standard dual 12.3-inch displays are seamlessly integrated into the Murano’s soft surroundings. Murano Glass, a unique dashboard finisher, incorporates color-shift graphics and textures that play with light, creating a lighting effect that conjures glassworks. There are touch-activated climate controls and push-button shifters free up central console space for storage, cup holders, and the standard wireless phone charging pad.
Give Me Your Heart, Make It Real
The redesigned 2025 Nissan Murano is expected to hit dealerships in early 2025. Pricing will be announced closer to the mid-size SUV going on sale, but the base model of the outgoing Murano starts just north of $40,000.
In the meantime, Raceway Nissan is your home for the 2024 Murano, as well as the newest SUVs and crossovers from Nissan – including the 2025 Nissan Rogue and 2025 Nissan Kicks. They’re more affordable than ever at your home of the Zero-Dollar Down Lease Payment.
