Make (A Lot Of) Way For the 2025 Armada

September 18th, 2024 by

We already know the Nissan Armada is a large vehicle. Armadas, after all, are inherently large, lest they risk being mistaken for a mere flotilla. But like war itself, it’s difficult to comprehend the sheer scale of the Nissan Armada unless you experience it up close and personal.

This is all to emphasize that when we say the 2025 Nissan Armada is the most powerful edition of Nissan’s full-size SUV yet, we’re not messing around. The new Armada boasts a new, twin-turbo V-6 engine, upgraded towing and torque, and its first ever PRO-4X grade. It all adds up to form the most well-equipped Armada yet.

Today, Raceway Nissan of Freehold takes an in-depth look at Nissan’s latest, forthcoming behemoth.

Big Changes

The Armada has been on a never-ending quest to level up ever since it hit the scene in 2003, when it was built on the bones of the also-imposing Nissan Titan. The 2025 Nissan Armada will officially kick off the SUV’s third generation, and as you might expect, it’s going even bigger to celebrate the occasion.

After conquering all manners of paved roads, the 2025 Armada adds new off-road capabilities thanks to its first PRO-4X grade. That’s right – the already-intimidating Armada has developed an adventurous spirit, as reflected through its bold new design. With all-terrain tires, an increased approach angle, underbody skid plates, and Adaptive Electronic Air Suspension, the Armada reaches unprecedented levels of versatility.

Also entering the fray is the Armada’s first twin-turbo V6. The direct-injected 3.5-liter V6 engine raises the Armada’s towing capacity to an eye-opening 8,500 pounds. Coupled with a standard 9-speed automatic transmission and world-class horsepower numbers, it’s best to make way – like, a lot of way – when the new Armada rolls through.

Equipping the Armada

The 2025 Armada isn’t being sent off to battle without being stocked with the latest tech provisions. It becomes the latest Nissan to adapt the available ProPILOT Assist 2.1, the company’s most advanced hands-off assistance technology. Additionally, Nissan Safety Shield® 360 comes standard on every Armada model.

And like any respectable military vehicle, the Armada is able to survey its surroundings from all conceivable angles. This is thanks to Nissan’s best complement of camera assistance, including 3D Around View® Monitor, Front Wide View, and Invisible Hood View. No more driving around in your Armada fighting the temptation to run over every obstacle in your path – now you’ll actually be able to see through them.

Further additions to the third-generation Armada include:

  • Massaging front seats.
  • Available 64-color ambient lighting.
  • Available dual 14.3-inch screens with Google built-in connectivity.
  • 12-speaker Klipsch® Premium Audio System.
  • 24% increase in cargo space behind the third row.

There’s also expanded first- and third-row legroom… you know, in case you were worried this monster wasn’t big enough.

And That Makes It Larger Than Life

The 2025 Nissan Armada will devour showroom real estate when it rolls into dealerships later this year. It will be offered in five grades: SV, SL, PRO-4X, Platinum, and Platinum Reserve. All offer a choice between rear-wheel drive and Intelligent 4WD (except PRO-4X, which includes standard 4WD).

In the meantime, Raceway Nissan of Freehold is your home for Nissan’s extensive family of SUVs and crossovers, from the equally gargantuan 2024 Nissan Pathfinder to the all-new 2025 Nissan Rogue.
